letter
which Managing Director John Bradford
wrote to him, Andy says
"...John gave me
this just before the station
went on air. It basically said "you'll be
working around the
clock and
I may not bump into you for a while". That was partly
true, I did work
around
the clock but I was in the building all the time and saw plenty
of
him. I distinctly
remember
him coming down the stairs into reception
just after our
first set of figures
came out hugging me so hard that
I thought I'd get bruised"
Andy
went on to say that with reference to the jingle package...
"for some reason I got the job of carting it -
I remember it was a bit of a race to get two
sets
(one for each studio) carted up".
